To apply to the Data Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing Communications or Integrated Marketing Communications program at WVU Reed College of Media, use the Online WVU Graduate Application for Admission. Upon acceptance to the program, you will receive an acceptance letter via email and mail. Once you receive the letter, inform us of your intent on beginning the program.

Welcome to the Mountaineer Community! First, you will need to make sure you have submitted any missing information and let the program know your intent to start.
- Submit final and all necessary official documentation.
- Accept Your Seat – Let your program know you accept your admission and intend on starting your studies.
Claim WVU Account
Once you receive your WVU ID number, you can claim your account to
set up your MIX email and DUO Authentication.
- Congrats! You're in. Now that you’ve received official notification of your acceptance, it’s time to get down to business. Visit admissions.wvu.edu/admitted and follow the steps on the website.
- Using your name, last four digits of your social security number
or WVU ID number provided on your acceptance letter, go to
https://login.wvu.edu/ and select
- You will then receive the information needed to access the Portal. From there, go to students.wvu.edu and enter the WVU Portal where you can access your Mountaineer Information Xpress (MIX) email and complete the first step required to enroll at WVU — paying your academic deposit.
- Set up DUO 2-Factor Authentication (Required for all students). Download the DUO Mobile app and enroll in DUO at twofactor.wvu.edu. Experiencing technical issues? Contact WVU ITS: https://it.wvu.edu/
- WVU Online students who wish to obtain an official WVU Mountaineer Card can now submit a photo electronically and have their card mailed to them. NOTE: This service is available for out-of-area students only who are taking online/off-campus courses. Students that live in the Morgantown area are required to come by one of our Card Office locations to have their card made and picked up in-person. Get your WVU Mountaineer Card.

How do I schedule my courses online?
- Log into the WVU Portal.
- Click the STAR link. If prompted, enter your Login credentials to continue.
- Select Student Services & Housing.
- Select Registration.
- Select Add or Drop Classes.
- Select Term (i.e., Fall 2020).
Note: you will have to do this separately to register for multiple semesters. At the bottom of the page under “Add Classes Worksheet” add each 5-digit CRN into a separate box Click “Submit Changes” at the bottom of the page to officially register for courses.
Students are automatically enrolled in the Marketing Communications Orientation course on eCampus. Students will need to login ecampus.wvu.edu using their WVU credentials to access this course. Once logged into eCampus, students will see the Orientation listed under “My Courses.” Click on the “Marketing Communications Orientation” course to access the modules. Once a student completes all required modules, they will be awarded 10 bonus points in their introduction course at the end of the first week of classes.
