Jim Morrison
Jim recently completed a 40-year career at American Greetings Corporation where he served as director of trade marketing and events.
Prior to that, he was director of multimedia productions overseeing video production, internal and external conferences, community events, marketing communication plans, instructional design for interactive technologies, sales communications, and executive prospecting presentations.
During his career, Jim played an instrumental role in American Greetings growth in interactive technologies as a value-added service for its retailers. He was a strategic player in pioneering the development of retail database marketing and sales force automation strategies. For his accomplishments, he received a Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award from Sales and Marketing Executives International.
He served on a special committee for the Ohio Department of Higher Education where he provided strategic direction in developing curriculum for the Interactive Multimedia program for career centers and colleges throughout Ohio.
In 2011, Jim was awarded a U.S. Patent for the development of an Interactive Marketing Window Display in cooperation with MIT that interacts with consumers encouraging them to enter the store as they pass by a retailer’s store window.
Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University with an emphasis in writing, publication design with minors in graphic design and photojournalism. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University. He resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
