  3. STEP 03

    Write your personal statement.

  4. STEP 04

    Login to the application portal.

To apply for one of WVU's full online master's degrees in Data, Digital or Integrated Marketing Communications, a graduate certificate program or as an Alumni Lifelong Learning Program (ALLP) Applicant, use the WVU Graduate Admissions portal. Application Deadlines

Applying before the PRIORITY deadline opens opportunities for accelerated tracks and puts you first in line for choosing courses, electives and instructors. It also ensures you meet financial aid deadlines, and that you get into cohorts with limited spots (Data and DINFOS). Applications for the upcoming term will only be accepted after the deadline on a case-by-case basis. If you are applying to financial aid, submit the FAFSA at least 4 weeks prior to the term in which you want financial aid.

Official Academic Transcripts
We highly recommend using an outside evaluation service to provide WVU with an evaluation of your transcripts. Our service of choice is the World Education Services (WES). The best evaluation to request is the "WES ICAP," which costs $225 USD. This report will be emailed to WVU with an equivalency report for determination of your grades from your institution as compared to the USA grade point average system. See what documentation is required and find out more about the service. You may also have your institution send the transcripts directly to WVU, via post mail or electronic delivery. This process may take a much longer amount of time. Your Official academic transcripts would be sent directly to:
WVU Office of International Admissions
One Waterfront Place, Second Floor
PO Box 6009
Morgantown, WV 26506-6510
USA
Email: InternationalAdmissions@mail.wvu.edu
Phone: 304-293-2121
NOTE: You can also, in the interim, upload unofficial transcripts until the WES ICAP report is completed.

TOEFL or IELTS Scores
West Virginia University requires international students to submit their TOEFL or IELTS scores directly to the central WVU Office of Admissions. Use destination code 5904 to have TOEFL scores sent. You may also use Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academy or Duolingo English Test scores. International students are required to submit English language proficiency scores from one of the following:

If you completed your bachelor’s degree in one of the following countries, then you have met the WVU English proficiency requirement and do not have to submit a test score: Australia, Canada, Republic of Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, Liberia, Nigeria, Commonwealth Caribbean Countries (Anguilla, Antigua, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caico).
