Cara Forester

Sr. Director, Communications Cardinal Health

Cara Forester currently serves as the communications lead for the chief information officer and the entire Global Technology and Business Services team at Cardinal Health. In that role she works with the CIO and her leadership team to create and execute on strategic communication plans designed to meet specific business objectives both internally and externally.

While at Cardinal Health, Forester has engaged executives across the enterprise and supported some of the company’s most impactful initiatives including the introduction of our updated mission, vision and values, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, the Black and African American Racial Equity Cabinet and the global pandemic team. She has supported both business clients and shared services teams and provided communication counsel to senior leaders including the chief executive officer and chief financial officer of a publicly traded company.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Forester held a number of roles in healthcare and retail services. These roles included the vice president of Operations at Express-Med/CCS Medical and account manager at SubmitOrder.com.

Forester currently serves on the non-profit board of the Columbus Cancer Support Community.

Previously, she served as the board president for the Susan G. Komen Columbus affiliate until March 2020. She is an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) through the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and recently gained certification as a Prosci® change practioner. Forester earned a Master of Marketing and Communication from Franklin University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University.
