Angie Howard

Angie Howard is the vice president of Custom Animation at DreamWorks Animation (DWA) in Glendale, CA. She leads teams of production staff and artists in the development and production of short form marketing content for animated feature film releases. She works with film creatives and business units across DWA and NBCUniversal (DWA’s parent organization). Prior to joining DWA, Howard produced animation and VFX content for film, video games, TV and marketing campaigns at companies such as Disney Animation, Sony Imageworks and Sony PlayStation.

Howard also runs a short-term rental company with her husband called Cali Retreats (www.caliretreatsllc.com). The company invests in vacation rental properties throughout California. She oversees all aspects of the business from marketing to finance and operations.

Howard teaches graduate-level courses in marketing, business strategy, international business, leadership and creative production for Washington State University and West Virginia University, in addition to other teaching endeavors.

Howard earned an MBA from Washington State University with a marketing concentration, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Advertising Management and Marketing from Portland State University. She enjoys volunteering, traveling, hiking, snowboarding and watching movies with her husband, Chris, and daughter, Shea. She has an adorable mini Aussie Doodle named Cosmo.

Howard is a member of the Producers Guild and the VFX Society.
