Kelly Greathouse

Kelly Greathouse is a dedicated and accomplished professional with an extensive background in fostering cross-functional relationships and executing projects from initial concept through successful completion. In her current role as lead of International Communications at GNC, she has developed a multicultural communications strategy, resulting in a significant increase in franchisee engagement. Greathouse is most proud of changes she facilitated to the International Communications process that enhanced the efficiency of releases and streamlined internal operations related to communications.

Greathouse’s previous experience as a marketing manager at TroyRx showcases her ability to implement strategic marketing plans that drive substantial growth. Her leadership assisted in three software launches, a comprehensive rebranding initiative, and the enhancement of the company's market position and identity distinct from its parent organization. Greathouse’s certification in crisis communications was put to the test multiple times while at the Ziegenfelder Company, including when one of the company’s locations caught fire. At The Ziegenfelder Company, she implemented marketing and public relations plans across the organization’s three sites to significantly improve brand recognition with proactive outreach to media and community stakeholders.

Greathouse is a 2024 graduate of West Virginia University with a master’s degree in data marketing communications. Her time studying at WVU’s Reed College of Media allowed her to hone skills in audience segmentation, data analysis, and user experience optimization. She was chosen to participate in the first year of the college’s MarCom Ambassador Program formed in January 2023.

In addition to working full time at GNC, she maintained an exemplary 4.0 GPA through her entire time earning her master’s degree. She also holds two bachelor's degrees from Point Park University focusing on Acting and Broadcast Journalism, along with an associate’s degree from Eastern Gateway Community College in Business Management.

Greathouse began her professional career as a TV news reporter and anchor in small market television stations. Her diverse background enhances her ability to communicate effectively across various platforms and mediums. With experience that includes corporate communications, public relations, and business development, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to creating data-driven strategies that boost brand awareness and engagement. She is passionate about embracing servant leadership principles and contributing to organizations that prioritize meaningful leadership impacts.

Greathouse lives with her husband, their three children, and their Goldendoodle named Coco. All family members love spending time together with Coco on their wooded property in Weirton, West Virginia.
