David Hazelton

David Hazelton has over 30 years of professional experience in design, branding, and marketing. As design director for ProShares, Hazelton is responsible for brand consistency across all channels of the company’s marketing, advertising, and corporate communications.

Prior to joining ProShares, Hazelton spent over a decade in boutique agencies. During that time, he used his branding and marketing talents to enhance the brand image of clients like OSHA, the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Hazelton's interest in healthcare has earned him a seat as publicity chair for the Florida State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (FSAOHN). In this role, he is responsible for increasing brand awareness, and attendance of the association’s annual event, the Florida Occupational Health Conference (FOHC). His work with the conference has garnered several awards including Graphic Design USA's Health + Wellness Design Award for FOHC's social media campaigns. Hazelton is a frequent speaker at FOHC, and presents on topics related to healthcare marketing, social media, and branding.

Hazelton lives in Washington, DC, and is active in the local chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMADC). He volunteers as a mentor with AMADC, helping to develop early-career-stage marketers. He earned his M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, and holds a B.F.A in Visual Communication/Graphic Design from Arizona State University.
