Romo’s academic pursuits have laid a strong foundation for her career. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. Seeking to expand her horizons, she pursued a Master of Science in Technology Management at Columbia University in New York.
In her present role as the Head of Marketing and Strategy at InnovaSport, Romo is charting new frontiers in the world of sports retail, working together with global brands such as NBA, Adidas, and Nike. Her mission is to redefine the brand's positioning and create cutting-edge digital and AI marketing strategies encompassing brick-and-mortar and online stores.
Romo’s professional journey has taken her across borders, immersing her in international marketing and business development across more than 10 countries. She worked at PepsiCo for 10 years, spearheading global brands like Doritos and Ruffles, showcasing her knack for transforming products into beloved brands.
Romo has received several awards. Notable among them are the prestigious Shorty Awards, where she secured the title of "Best in Social Media" in 2019. In 2016, she was awarded a Silver Effie and the Harvey Award for Social Platform.
