Effective communicators are vital to the healthcare industry, and they’re in demand. WVU is now offering a special healthcare communications cohort in our renowned online IMC master’s degree program. Get a well-rounded IMC education with an emphasis in healthcare alongside like-minded classmates and faculty.  Classes begin January 10, 2022.

WVU developed the first online IMC master's degree program in the country and we remain at the forefront of education in this space. The Healthcare Communications specialization features courses that explore how to use IMC strategies and emerging technologies in healthcare, specifically. While the Healthcare Communications specialization is available to all IMC students, a special 20-student healthcare-focused cohort will begin in Spring 2022.

Meet Kristi Onkka

Healthcare Marketing Expert and Alumna-turned-Faculty

Kristi is an innovator of online digital experiences for both health care providers and consumers/patients with more than 19 years of marketing experience. She earned her master's degree from WVU's IMC program in 2015 and is now an instructor who teaches courses in new technology as it relates to healthcare communications.
