From Business to IMC: A Strategic Journey at WVU

|

Gabby Jansen, M.S. IMC Class of Summer 2024

Gaby Jansen’s goal in joining WVU’s IMC program was to improve her strategic thinking through creativity, data analysis and strategic project management. Her bachelor’s degree was in business, so she wanted a program that aligned with her career goals and aspirations. “This degree was the perfect fit,” Jansen notes.

One of her managers guided her into pursuing her master's and she was grateful for that push. She chose IMC for its flexibility and diverse range of classes.

For prospective and incoming students, she encourages them to manage their time well. The eight-week courses do go by quickly. She also notes to apply yourself to the course work and relate it to your real work experience.

I really enjoyed the Creative Strategy and Execution, Content Marketing and Brand Equity Courses — they were super relevant to me and expanded my knowledge in those areas. Gaby Jansen

Jansen, a Summer 2024 graduate of the M.S. IMC program, is the marketing project manager at Sargento in Wisconsin.
